Five Arrested for Drug Trafficking

Five men from British Columbia are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit.

During the course of the investigation, members of the SPS Drug Unit observed activity consistent with drug trafficking at various addresses in Saskatoon. As a result, three search warrants were executed shortly after 4:00 a.m., September 12, 2020 with the assistance of the SPS Tactical Support Unit and the RCMP Emergency Response Team. Two of the search warrants were executed at separate hotel rooms in the 200 block of Willis Crescent, and the third was at an apartment in the 100 block of Hampton Circle.

As a result, investigators seized over $15,000.00 in cash and 1998 grams of methamphetamine. Police also seized 11 cell phones, three digital scales and other items commonly associated to drug trafficking.

Four men were taken into custody from the hotel in the 200 block of Willis Crescent, and one man was arrested at the apartment in the 100 block of Hampton Circle.

A 24-year-old Burnaby, B.C. man is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

A 26-year-old Burnaby, B.C. man is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.

A 24-year-old Surrey, B.C. man is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A 20-year-old Port Coquitlam, B.C. man is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.

The man arrested from the apartment on Hampton Circle, a 28-year-old from Surrey, B.C. is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine and Cocaine, and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5000.
