Police Use Taser In Arrest

A conducted energy weapon (CEW) was deployed yesterday afternoon after a 40-year-old man wanted on warrants, fled from police.


At approximately 1:00 p.m., October 18, 2021, a patrol officer recognized a man as having a warrant for his arrest, walking near the intersection of Olmstead Road and Forrester Road. The patrol officer exited his vehicle and attempted to stop the man, who refused to cooperate and then fled on foot. A CEW was deployed but was unsuccessful. The man was taken into custody without further incident when additional officers arrived at scene.


The 40-year-old man was in possession of a bag that contained heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and two different identity documents. He is charged with Possession of Heroin, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine, Possession of Stolen Property, Evade Police, and Possession of Identity Documents.
