Man arrested after weekend stabbing incident

A 24-year-old man is facing charges after stabbing three people over the weekend.

At 1:00 a.m., December 4, 2021, Patrol responded to a report of a stabbing at a nightclub in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South. Upon arrival, police located three persons who appeared to be suffering from stab wounds. Two were transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was identified and located a short distance away. As officers approached the suspect, they observed him to discard what they later learned, was a loaded firearm. Upon his arrest, he was found in possession of cocaine, two cell phones, a large sum of cash, and a knife.


The 24-year-old man is charged with Aggravated Assault (x2), Possession of a Dangerous Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.
