Police Issue 18 Tickets At Saskatoon Rally

The Saskatoon Police Service was made aware of a planned rally in Kiwanis Memorial Park on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Upon attending, Public Health officials and Police observed more than a hundred people congregating and disobeying current Public Health orders. As a result, 18 tickets were issued to individuals violating Public Health orders. One additional ticket was issued to a participant involved in a rally on April 24, 2021. Those who received tickets were observed to have varying levels of involvement in the rally.

As Police continue to investigate the weekend event, additional tickets are expected to be issued. We encourage members of the public to adhere to the restrictions set out in Public Health orders and not attend future events where violations may occur.
